Department: PHYSICS

I am a theoretical condensed matter physicist. I love to explore different types of condensed matter systems such as topological insulators, Graphene, superconductors, etc.

PhD : 2012- 2018
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Delhi
Specialization: Condensed Matter Theory
Thesis Title: Quantum transport in two dimensional electron gas with non-relativistic and
relativistic dispersion

M. Sc. 2010-2012
Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi, New Delhi
Specialization: Physics

B.Sc. 2007-2010
Lady Brabourne College, University Of Calcutta, Kolkata
Specialization: Physics

1) Quantum transport in low dimensional systems and their electronic properties.
2) Topological Insulators, Floquet topological insulators, and Graphene.
3) Magnetic modulation on 2D material, quantum Hall systems.
4) Theoretical studies in other condensed matter systems such as Weyl semimetal, Black
phosphorus, etc.

I have studied the quantum transport properties of different types of low-dimensional systems such as topological insulators, magnetically modulated quantum Hall systems, etc. I also worked as a visiting fellow under the UGC-UKIERI project. In that project, I did theoretical modeling of experimental data of magnetically modulated heterostructure.

I taught the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Undergraduate courses:
1) Python-CC5
2) Analog Electronics
3) Mathematical Physics
4) Classical Mechanics
Postgraduate Courses:
1) Group theory
2) Solid state electronics

2) Unconventional band structure for a periodically gated surface of a three-dimensional
topological insulator, Puja Mondal, and S. Ghosh, International Workshop on Emergent
Phenomena in Quantum Hall Systems 6 (EPQHS 6), Tata Institute of Fundamental
Research (TIFR), Mumbai, India, January 2016.
