I completed my graduation from Bethune College and obtained my master degree from the University of Calcutta. I topped both the levels of UG and PG in History examinations of the University of Calcutta. I have been awarded a Memento for being First Class First in B.A. (History Hons.) Examination, 2016 from University of Calcutta (18th Feb, 2017), and have been also awarded Nibedita Ghosh Memorial Prize for Most Promising Student of the Department of History of Bethune College in the final year (Session 2015-2016) and Aditi Nag Choudhury Memorial Prize for highest proficiency in B.A., Part-I Examination (History Hons.) from University of Calcutta (Session 2015-2016). I have completed my M.Phil. from the University of Kalyani. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. research in the Department of History of the University of Kalyani. I am the author of the book, titled, State, Law and Gender: Debating the Age of Marriage in India, 1872-1978, which is published by Manohar Publishers, New Delhi. The book has also been published worldwide by Boydell & Brewer, an academic press based in Martlesham, Suffolk, England. I have also co-authored a book on the history of modern Bengal.

• Presented a paper entitled “Bharate Nari Andoloner Khandachitra: Pratirodh, Sanskar Ebong Uttaradhikar (1947-2011)” (“Fragments of the Women’s Movement in India: Resistance, Reform and Legacy (1947-2011)”) in the International Conference of Bangiya Itihas Samiti, Kolkata held on 25 and 26 March, 2023 at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal.
• Presented a paper entitled “Bharate Nari Itihascharchar Bibhinno Dhara O Tar Sonkhipto Itibritta” (“Different Trends of Women’s Historiography in India and Its Brief History”), in the 5th International Conference of Bangiya Itihas Samiti Kolkata held at Surendranath College, Kolkata on 25th and 26th March 2022.
